Baking Biscuits - and 11 Other Things Mom Taught Me
Mom (may she rest in peace) taught me many things that were related to life in general. For instance, when baking biscuits never forget the proper ingredients. If you leave out one important ingredient, you will not have biscuits, you will have a floury mess. Life is that way too. If you fail to include one of the success ingredients, your life may be a mess. This is what Mom taught me and I thank her for that. Come and listen to 11 other Mom-isms that guided me through life and towards success.

Okay, I Stutter - Can We Move On?
I'm glad that I stutter. That wasn't always true. One day during my 14th birthday, after years of abuse due to my chronic stuttering, after daily torment both self-derived and from others, after trouble after trouble due to my "defending myself," it finally became clear. I had had an epiphany, and it hit me hard. I was walking down the street but I had to stop, sit, and ponder what was going on in my head. My brain boiled, my hair bristled, and my head was pounding. Soon after, in what seemed liked a lifetime, with passersby asking if I was okay, I arose with a new vision, I was a new person. And yes, I was very much okay. I was FREE. Free to speak, free to be heard, and free to take charge of my life. Today, I am a PUBLIC SPEAKER by trade. And yes, even today, I encounter others who want to make fun of my stuttering condition. However, no longer does it affect me in a negative manner. Instead, I am motivated by it. I know that I have value — all because of that wonderful thing that happened on the street so long ago. Call or email me and I would love to tell you and your audience what I learned and how it has helped me succeed — in business and in life.
Loving the Rollercoaster called Life!
Like the mighty roller-coaster, Life has its ups and downs. And just when you are having all kinds of fun, Life throws you a curveball and there you go downward again. To many of us, this is a frustrating and painful situation. However, to those who understand Life, this is so similar to the roller-coaster. We enjoy the ups and the downs. We enjoy the p.p.p.p.p.p as the cars rise skyward and we enjoy the whheeeee as we plummet downward. We may not enjoy each as much as the other but we undertand that to get to the whheeee, we must endure the p.p.p.p.p. as well. We may not enjoy the painful parts of life, but to get to the good stuff, we have to endure the pain as well. This presentation will provide the reasons and the tools to help you enjoy this roller-coaster we call LIFE.
Simplify, Energize, and Start to Rise
Sometimes we tend to complicate things. Give all kinds of convoluted reasons why we can't be successful. In reality, simplicity is golden. Why go searching for deep metaphysical answers when the simple ones work so well? Do you have trouble remembering things? Carry a pen and paper pad with you wherever you go. or purchase a portable recording device. Trying to get a job? Research the company and find out what they need. Does you friend always get you in trouble? Stay away from that "friend". See how simple things can be? This presentation is designed to strip away the "yeah, you're right, but" attitudes that do nothing but impede our success. This presentation will provide the insight you need to simplify your actions, energize your spirit, and rise, rise, RISE to success.
